Half term 4 day guide Mallorca under £600
Ever wanted to make a trip abroad with your kids but you think of the of the costs and then back out because you think of holidays as a super expensive ordeal? I’d be sharing my 4 day guide on how I spent half term with my bambinos in Mallorca under budget and how you can do this too . Now my disclaimer, my trip was back in Oct 2022 but I am writing this in Jan 2024 and having done my research I can tell you for a fact that the prices or only slightly varied so this is still very much achievable. Happy planning!
Flights
Ryan air, EasyJet are great options for your budget flights.
I flew Ryanair with 10kg check in for £109 total for 3 people but
this was oct 2022, the screenshots below were taken in January 2024 ,its
still affordable.
Tip 1: Buying your ticket well in advance directly from the airline.
Tip 2: Ryanair does a pay 50 now pay rest later for families.
Tip 3: Swap check in bags for backpacks. details my travel packing hacks here
Transport (How to get around)
Mallorca has a good transport system which helps to keep costs down. Buses run quite frequently and payments on the bus are cash or contactless Cards. Outside the airport you have buses run by same company which takes you into town in under an hour. Price each was about £8 for adults and £6 for children. All our other outings were also by bus for £2
each way.
Check the TIB website for bus times and updated prices but each bus stop also has the schedule on display.
Accommodation
On this trip, I stayed at Mar senses
apartment hotel to give me flexibility
of eating out and home meals when I
chose.
The location for me was perfect; less than 5 mins walk to the Palma nova beach, Kathmandu theme park & Aldi supermarket. My booking was £220.This did not include meals but Aldi to the rescue for fresh bakery and easy meal preps. We also ate out a few times to give the kids a holiday feel.
I must tell that the hotel’s kids nightly entertainment left me with no regrets. The good news is most 4 star hotels fit under £100pp.

Day 2
We spent the day at Katmandu theme park. It is named the best in Mallorca. No wow factor in my opinion (Well maybe that’s because I have been to loads of theme parks) but the kids had fun. The theme park is a less than 5 minutes walk to Mar senses hotel which was convenient. Katmandu Park offers a variety of activities including interactive experiences, 4D cinema, mini-golf, and thrilling rides such as The House and K3 Climb. The park is typically open from around 10 AM to 6 PM so we spent the whole day there.
Highlights/ Money Spent
- Activities we had the most fun with: Water Park, shooting range, rides etc
- £68- all 3 tickets
- Meals – Home made meals from the grocery shopping
Day 3
On this day we explored the city. Time to get into the city and comb the town with your feet!
We hopped on the bus, which was super convenient and only cost us about 2 euros each – bargain!
Our first stop was the Palacio de Almudaina, a breathtaking palace dripping with history and charm. Opening times are usually from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and tickets are around 7 euros for adults, but kiddos get in for free – yay! Keep an eye out for the intricate architecture and stunning views of the surrounding area.
Next up, we made our way to the Catedral-Basílica de Santa María, an absolute must-see. The opening times vary, so it’s best to check ahead, but trust me, it’s worth planning around. Tickets are about 8 euros per person, but again, kids can tag along for free. Don’t miss the stunning stained glass windows and the peaceful atmosphere inside.
After all that sightseeing, we were ready to refuel, so we hit up the McDonald’s in the city center. Surprisingly, it was buzzing with life – musicians, magicians, you name it! It was the perfect spot to grab a quick bite and soak in the lively atmosphere. 🍔🎶
As much as we wanted to squeeze in a visit to Castell de Bellver, we ran out of time. But hey, that just gives us an excuse to come back and explore even more next time.
Day 4
Whilst I have shared below how our day 4 went, my recommendation for this day is to do you! Take this day to do whatever the word relax means to you. We spent the morning with the kids splashing in the pool whilst I had an aqua-aerobic class.
Afternoon we went for lunch and early evening I had a massage by Palma nova beach for only £10! Our flight was later that night and again we got the bus back to the airport in under 40 mins.
Overall, our day in Mallorca was nothing short of amazing. From historic landmarks to unexpected moments of fun, it’s a destination that truly has it all. Can’t wait for our next adventure! ✨👩👧👦 #MallorcaMagic #FamilyTravelGoals
